TDAP corruption scam: Gilani gets bail, arrest warrants for Amin Fahim issued

An anti-corruption court in Karachi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for former federal minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) corruption case here on Monday.

The judge has ordered the authorities to apprehend former leader and present him before the court on October 22.

Meanwhile, the apex court also awarded bail to former Prime Minister (PM) Yousuf Raza Gilani and announced to hold hearing over his exemption plea from appearing in court on the same date.

Gilani and PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, along with certain former and serving officials of TDAP were booked for their alleged involvement in expenditure of false trade subsidies amounting to billions of rupees.

The court granted bail to former premier Yousaf Raza Gilani in as many as 11 corruption cases over bail bond worth Rs 1 lac in each case.
