Busy households around the globe take note: Japan has invented a robot that washes and dries your clothes.
In a world first, the ‘laundroid’ is also capable of sorting, folding and putting your garments away for you in the wardrobe.
The laundry bot was collaboratively designed by a group of Japanese technology companies, including Daiwa House, Panasonic, and Seven Dreamers, to take care of one of life’s more tedious chores.
The laundroid was unveiled in Tokyo at the 2015 Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies where it performed a demonstration.
Panasonic says the robot will revolutionise people’s lives by freeing them from menial household labour and allowing them more time to spend with family or on more leisurely pastimes.
