Bhara Kahu police have arrested six thieves and recovered five computers, laptop, weapons and other stolen valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that a special team was constituted by SP Ahmed Iqbal to trace those involved in theft incidents. This team headed by DSP Bhara Kau Arif Hussain Shah including SHO Inspector Rukhsar Mehdi, ASIs Shakeel Ahmed, Zafar Iqbal and others worked hard and nabbed three thieves.
They have been identified as Ibrar, Shehzad and Umair alias Umeri besides recovering five computers, one laptop, LCD, 12 bore rifle, 30 bore pistol and ammunition from them.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to strike at various places in Islamabad and Rawalpindi including Dhok Jilani and Dhok Mohri. Police have obtained physical remand of these nabbed thieves from the relevant court and hopeful for more recovery from them.
Meanwhile, police team apprehended three other thieves Ameen, Mumtaz and Ghulam for their alleged involvement in theft of forest wood.
