The SHC bench, headed by Justice Irfan Saadat, was hearing the petition filed by Muhammad Islam, the father of missing student who moved the court for recovery his son, Muhammad Faisal.

Faisal, who was a second year student, has been missing since January 2012. The court issued bailable arrest warrants in the sum of Rs 25,000 against SSP Awan. The SHC served the warrants through DIG, CIA and directed him to ensure Awan’s appearance in the next hearing on 22nd October. Citing DG Rangers Sindh, IGP Sindh and SHO Mominabad police station, interior and home secretaries as respondents, Muhammad Islam, the father of the missing man, prayed the court to direct the respondents to recover his son and produce him before the court.
