The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday ordered the Election Commission (ECP) to conduct the local government (LG) election in Islamabad according to the schedule slated for November 30.
While disposing of a petition, a two-member SC bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan ordered the ECP to abide by the earlier order of the court and conduct elections according to the schedule.
The ECP additional secretary assured the bench that the delimitation will be completed by October 13. He said that the LG election schedule will be issued after the delimitation process
