Three people, including a woman, were shot dead by a man for turning down his marriage proposal in the wee hours of Tuesday in Korriyana neighbourhood of Jhang.
Police officials said the accused, Souba, said to be dejected over the refusal, barged into the house of his relatives and opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, Sardar Abbas, Umer Hayat and Mussarat Bibi died on the spot. The accused fled after committing the crime. The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Jhang for postmortem. A case has been registered and raids are being made for the arrest of the killer.
