Police arrest 19 outlaws; recover drugs, looted valuables in Capital

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 19 outlaws including 13 beggars and three car lifters besides recovering 120 wine bottles, narcotics and stolen valuables from their possession here on Monday.

A police spokesman said that a special team constituted by SP (Saddar) Rizwan Umer Gondal including SHO Golra, ASIs Talat Mehmood, Burhan Uddin, Head Constable Yasir Ali and others conducted snap checking at Islamabad Chowk. It signaled to stop a vehicle (LOK-9499) near sector G-13 but its driver tried to speed away. Police team managed to stop the vehicle after a brief chase and nabbed car occupant Mujeeb besides recovery of 120 wine bottles.

Meanwhile, Shehzad town police apprehended Murad Ali for possessing 115 gram hashish while Sihala police nabbed Sadiq for decanting gas in cylinders illegally. Loi Bher police arrested Hussain, Sohail and Rafaqat for their alleged involvement in car theft cases.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
