The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has nullified the decision of its single bench to reinstate former PEMRA chairman Chaudhry Rashid Ahmad in his office.

A two-member bench of IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Athar Minullah took up the case for hearing on Tuesday.

Additional Attorney General (AAG) Afnan Karim Kundi appeared on behalf of the federation in the court while Advocate Waseem Sajjad represented the former PEMRA chairman.

The court while pronouncing reserved judgment set aside the single bench decision to reinstate the former chairman.

A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi had ordered that Chaudhry Rashid Ahmad be reinstated as PEMRA chairman on May 22.

The two-member bench of IHC had reserved the judgment on September 2 after hearing the arguments.
