Two of a total of 11 patients suffering from Congo virus, including a woman, died on Monday, while condition of three others is stated to be serious.
According to details, 11 patients suffering from Congo virus were brought to the Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital during the past four days. The patients were brought form Quetta, Pishin, Chaman, Mastung and Afghanistan.
Incharge Epidemic Diseases Dr Naseer Muhammad said that Congo virus had been transmitted through sacrificial animals and the number of patients hit by the deadly virus was increasing.
He said the Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital was the only hospital in the whole Balochistan where treatment of patients suffering from Congo virus was carried out. Patients suffering from the virus were also brought from Afghanistan at this hospital, he added.
