One killed, four injured in city violence

One person was killed and four others were injured in violent incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

Zakir Husain, 25, son of Mir Muhammad, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Pehlwan Goth area of Gulistan-e-Jauher. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

A man, Shah Waais, 32, son of Mohammad Younus, was injured by stray bullets in Kamila Stop in Lyari. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

A youth, Nawaz, 20, son of Ghulam Rasool, was shot and injured when he offered resistance to dacoits during a robbery in Bakra Peeri, Lyari. He was brought to CHK for treatment.

In another incident, a man, Javed, 62, son of Mustafa, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near his house in Nazimabad No. 5. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

A man, Rashid, 36, son of Bashir Husain, was injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on him in Ibrahim Haidery in Korangi. He was brought to JPMC for treatment.
