Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Sunday announced support for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate Aleem Khan in NA-122 by-election.
According to details, PTI once again contacted JI leadership as a PTI delegation led by Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar went to Mansoora to hold talks with JI leaders. The talks were successful and the JI chief assured Sarwar of support.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was also trying to gain support of JI. JI had linked its support in by-polls with cooperation in the upcoming local bodies election.
