The paramilitary Rangers arrested two alleged target killers in a raid on Gulshan-e-Maymar area on Saturday.
The suspects, Akbar alias Kala and Konain Haider, were produced before an anti-terrorism court later in the day where they were handed over into Rangers custody for 90 days.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the suspects, who have killed seven people, including MPA Raza Haider and Sajid Qureshi of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), belonged to a political party.
Reportedly, the suspects also carried out cracker blasts at MQM election camps in Azizabad and Nazimabad areas and near Muka Chowk and Yousaf Plaza. The spokesperson said these attacks were carried out to gain public sympathy.
