Three gang war criminals killed in Karachi police encounters; CTD arrests four suspects in raid on a private hospital

Three gang war criminals were killed in separate incidents of exchange of fire with police here on Sunday.

SP Ijaz Hashmi said that during search operation against criminals in Ittihad Town of Karachi, armed men opened fire which led to an encounter. In retaliatory action of police, gang war criminals identified as Abdul Naveed and Arshad were killed.

SP City Zeeshan Siddiqi said that a gang war accused named Nasir alias Goli involved in murder of a police officer was killed in fire exchange with police in Kharadar area of the metropolis city.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Rangers on Saturday night conducted a joint raid on a private hospital in Clifton area and arrested 4 suspected individuals including 2 Afghan nationals.

According to the details, the arrested suspects have been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Sources say that 2 of the individuals arrested had arrived in Karachi from Afghanistan for treatment purposes. Search was also conducted of the private hospital during the joint raid.

On the other hand, the target killer was said to be involved in killing of more than 24 people. The suspect killed in Lyari was said to be a worker of Aziz Baloch group.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Car Lifting Seal arrested 2 suspects in the Buffer Zone. Two motorcycles were recovered from the suspects.
Two people were also injured during a cracker bomb attack in Chakiwara area of Lyari.
