US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is sponsoring a resolution in the Congress to welcome Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif when he visits the country later this month.
The invitation of President Barack Obama to visit the country was delivered to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by the national security adviser, Susan Rice, in August last. The purposed visit comes weeks after the Prime Minister attended the UN General Assembly in New York.
In Washington, the Prime Minister will meet President Obama, important cabinet members and foreign policy makers.
