IGP orders high security for Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s urs

Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali has directed the police to ensure the best possible security arrangements for three-day Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi starting from today (Monday).

He said for the security of life and property of the people, the district police under a comprehensive plan should focus on intelligence collection, sharing, patrolling, snap checking, picketing, search and targeted operation, said an official statement on Sunday.

The IGP ordered the deputy inspector generals of police (DIGs) of East, West and South zones to make very effective arrangements for search and vigilance along with provision of logistic support at all police check-posts especially those set up at entrances and exits of the city. This would help the police to quickly respond to information about any crime received at the central control room, Madadgar, 15 call centre and surveillance centre.

The IGP also directed that security network be made more effective at all public and sensitive places in the city.
