An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday indicted three people accused in the murder case of Amanullah Khan Niazi, former deputy superintendent of Karachi Central Prison.

Ubaid alias K-2, Chaudhry Sajjad and Tanvir Chand were taken into custody from the Nine-Zero, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters, during a raid carried out by the paramilitary Rangers in June this year.

The accused were presented before the ATC judge who also issued notices during the hearing of the case to 37 other witnesses of the high-profile murder that took place in 2006.

The accused pleaded not guilty before being charge-sheeted in the special court. It may be mentioned that the court has already declared 11 MQM activists proclaimed offenders in the case.
