The Sindh High Court (SHC) has given the last chance to the paramilitary Rangers to file comments in connection with a missing person case.
The court on Friday directed the Sindh Rangers to file comments on the next hearing; otherwise, the director general or his representative would be called in person.
Justice Irfan Saadat was hearing a petition seeking whereabouts of Zain Ansari who went missing on August 15 last year from Karachi’s DHA area.
The counsel for the Rangers again requested the court to give sometime for filing the comments which was opposed by the petitioner’s counsel as the court had already given two weeks for this purpose.
On September 17, the SHC gave two weeks to the Rangers to file the comments but they failed to do so.
Zain Ansari was picked up by the Rangers in a raid on his house in Khayaban-e-Badban area of DHA. He has been missing since. The boy’s father prayed to the court to direct the authorities to release his son.
