I’m still PTI president, says man who is still PML-N activist

Multan – Our Old Guard Correspondent: I am still the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officially, said Multan-based PML-N activist Javed Hashmi.

“Yes, I might have resigned from the party, but I have not been terminated as the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” said Hashmi to reporters assembled at PML-N House in Multan.

“The party constitution says that I cannot be fired from my position as president till formal proceedings take place,” he said, while a picture of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hung on the wall behind him.

“I still best represent the ideals of the new party, not the current leadership,” said the Leaguer.

“There are a few hypocrites surrounding Imran Khan, including himself, who he listens to these days and these people have complete control over the part,” he added.

At the end of the press conference, he asked the reporters a simple question. “Dekho, dekho kaun aaya?”
