The 41st convocation ceremony of FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences was held on Saturday here at Campus to commemorate the accomplishments of its students.
As many as 99 graduates were awarded degrees belonging to Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Business Administration disciplines.
The convocation was attended by a large number of corporate luminaries, leading academicians, elite intellectuals and proud parents accompanying the students.
The chief guest, Minister for Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Atif and the Rector of FAST National University Dr Amir Muhammad distributed medals and degrees among graduating students.
In his convocation address, the chief guest congratulated the graduates and their proud parents.
He praised FAST-NUCES for having won a prestigious niche among the leading universities of Pakistan by providing and promoting higher education amid challenges in the area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Minister Muhammad Atif encouraged the graduating students to work hard and show devotion in helping their dear homeland prosper. He further emphasized the role these students can play in solving the prevailing issues such as poverty, illiteracy and dearth of technological advancement.
He said that convocation is more than just a formal ceremony for conferral of degrees: it is the recognition of a long standing tradition, whereby the university and all its stakeholders applaud the achievements of students.
