John Abraham in the MS Dhoni biopic

It’s no secret that John Abraham and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are fast friends. From going off on a three-day outing after Dhoni’s exit from Test cricket, to styling each others’ hair during a fun photoshoot during the launch of a salon in Bandra, these two men have always been supportive of each other, come rain or shine. And it appears that these two are ready to take their friendship to the next level. John Abraham is all set to play himself in Neeraj Pandey’s MS Dhoni – the untold story.

The actor, who is all praise for the cricketer, has this to say about him:

“Mahi is strong and resilient. When a film of mine gets a poor opening, he smiles and tells me that I’ve had a bad year but the next one will be better. He knows how to receive the brickbats with the bouquets. He’s one of the most balanced guys I know.”

Speaking on the biopic, the actor said,

“I’m glad a film is being made on Mahi’s life. I respect the vision of the director and I’m sure Sushant (Singh Rajput) will be fantastic”

In fact, John and MS Dhoni may even partner up during the upcoming Indian Premier League-style football league, in which John co-owns a team. A source close to John says that since they have a shared love for bikes and football, the pair of them may even invest in a football league team together. Now that’s one friendship we’d love to see on screen!
