Traders in Islamabad will observe strike against withholding tax on October 7, All Pakistan Traders Association president Kashif Chaudhry said on Wednesday.
The trade leader said that they would also decide a future strategy tomorrow. He also stated that the federal Board of Revenue should extend the deadline for submission of taxes to 30th of September unless the withholding tax issue is settled.
“Our agenda on the first day will be that none of the traders association in Pakistan holds talks with the government till the withholding tax date is extended or removed. If the government does not extend the date for submission of taxes till September 30th, there will be no talks with the government.
