Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Tuesday challenged Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to an election contest, saying the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has sensed a clear defeat and is trying to run away from the October 11 by-elections.
“Ayaz Sadiq also wants to seek court’s stay for the by-election in the NA-122 constituency,” Sarwar told a news conference as he expressed his disappointment over the Supreme Court’s verdict staying the October 11 by-poll in the NA-154 constituency of Lodhran.
“Siddique Baloch is trying to hide behind legal courts. He is aware of his definite defeat against Jahangir Tareen, hence the PML-N is in search of an escape route out of by-elections,” he said of the PML-N candidate.
“The court’s verdict has disappointed the masses and PTI…. The democratic ways have been blocked out for the PTI,” he remarked.
“If the PML-N wasn’t interested in contesting the polls then why did it create the drama to begin with? They cannot face the PTI before the court of the people,” added the PTI leader.
