CM forms committee to probe dengue spread in Rawalpindi

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday formed a commission to inquire about reasons behind growth of dengue in Rawalpindi.

The committee will investigate irregularities in anti-dengue processes carried out in the city. A report will be presented to the CM nominating ‘work shirkers’. Gujranwala division’s Commissioner will serve as convener of the committee.

Other members of the committee involve King Edward Medical College’s Vice Chancellor Dr Faisal Masood, Sahiwal division’s Commissioner and Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman.

CM Shahbaz has instructed the members to take stern action against the officials who did not shoulder responsibilities given to them.
