In its ongoing operation against substandard restaurants and food outlets, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday sealed three marriage banquet halls.
A PFA raiding team sealed Riwaj Banquet Hall near China Chowk in Shadman area for operating in unhygienic conditions and non-availability of medical certificates.
In Gulshan-e-Ravi area, Akbar-e-Azam and Paradise marriage halls were sealed for poor hygienic conditions.
In a related development, a production unit of Shehbaz Dahi Bhallay was sealed in Shahdra Town for using spoiled fruits and having open drainage system.
A restaurant, Bombay Chowpatty, on MM Alam Road, Azam Brothers near Kalma Chowk and Hafiz Sweets and Bakers were sealed for operating under unhygienic conditions.
