At least four gang war terrorists were killed in encounter with Rangers in Lyari in the wee hours of Wednesday. Heavy weapons were recovered from a house during a search operation in Surjani Town.
According to Rangers spokesman, Rangers personnel conducted a raid at a hideout of gang war terrorists in Lyari upon which the terrorists opened fire at the raiding party.
The Rangers spokesman informed that exchange of fire between law enforcement agency and terrorists continued for hours during which four gang war accused were killed while two of their accomplices managed to escape.
The spokesman further said that the killed terrorists were involved in target killings and other heinous crimes in the city. A large quantity of arms was also recovered from them.
The dead bodies of the terrorists were shifted to the civil hospital. The Rangers sources informed that the identity of the dead terrorists was not ascertained yet. Meanwhile, the law enforcement personnel conducted a raid in Surjani Town area of Karachi on Wednesday and recovered heavy weapons from a house. According to sources, the weapons include five kalashnikovs, four 7-MM, one LMG and hundreds of bullets. Sources said the weapons were used in various incidents of target killings.
