The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued notices to the Sindh Rangers director general and Sindh inspector general on a petition seeking the whereabouts of a 17-year-old boy missing since August 23, 2015.

Justice Irfan Saadat took up the petition filed by the father of detainee who moved the court against law enforcers for illegally detaining his son Muhammad Raheem.

The petitioner submitted that his son used to work with him and was never involved in any criminal activities.

He further said his son was at the home on the midnight of August 23 when police forcibly picked his son. “Raheem has been missing since” the petitioner stated.

He apprehended that his son might be in detention of the law enforcement agencies but they were not disclosing his custody.

After the initial hearing, the court issued notices to the Attorney General for Pakistan, the Sindh Rangers director general and inspector general to file their comments on October 15.
