An anti terrorism court on Tuesday sent an alleged agent of Indian spy agency (RAW) Nadeem to jail on 14-day judicial remand in a case of possessing explosive material.
According to the Investigation Officer (IO), the accused, Nadeem, during initial interrogation confessed to receiving training in India and that he had been involved in terrorism activities in Karachi. The court ordered presentation of challan in the next hearing.
Earlier, Nadeem was in police custody on 14-day physical remand for possessing explosives material and illegal weapons. The accused is an employee of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB) and affiliated with a Karachi-based political party. He was taken into custody from his office.
