Rehan Hussain alias Bihari, an alleged target-killer associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was handed over to Rangers in preventive detention for 90 days.
Rangers told a local anti-terrorism court that the accused, who was arrested in a targeted action of the paramilitary troops in Surjani on Friday, has confessed killing more than 50 persons, including political activists and policemen.
According to Rangers, the suspect, who is Sector Incharge of MQM Surjani Town, was running different target-killing teams in the area and was supplying weapons to them.
He was also allegedly involved in extortion and kidnapping for ransom, aerial firing, arson, forced Fitra collection, hide snatching and rioting, besides involvement in encroachment and China Cutting in Surjani Town, Rangers said in a statement.
Meanwhile Rangers arrested four suspects including an injured gang-war accused from Civil Hospital Karachi on Monday.
According to the sources, the paramilitary force on a tip-off conducted raid at CHK’s emergency ward and arrested four including the gang-war accused.
The injured gangster was moved to hospital for treatment, where he was arrested.
