Two under-custody robbers were killed on Wednesday in firing of accomplices as they were caught in the cross-fire during an attempt to free them.
Police was taking the two detained robbers for recovery of looted items when their cohorts attacked the police party at Aswan Road in Khanqah Dogran area of district Sheikhupura to free them.
In the fire exchange that followed, both under custody robbers were killed and a policeman sustained injuries. The bodies and the injured cop were later shifted to the hospital.
