Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director Ayesha Mumtaz has said the authority has constituted special teams to visit eateries and inspect food quality during three Eid days.
The director reiterated that the provision of quality and safe food to the citizens was the utmost priority of the PFA.
Talking to media persons outside the Lahore High Court on Wednesday, she said she would personally monitor performance of designated teams.
Mumtaz had arrived at the court to attend the hearing of a case regarding illegal abattoirs.
The PFA has been in action for more than a couple of months against food adulterators and has sealed various known eateries, restaurants, bakeries and other food outlets in its ongoing crackdown. The PFA raiding teams have also imposed fines on different eateries.
