Six Pakistanis taken hostage by Taliban executed

At least six Pakistani nationals were killed on Tuesday in clashes with Taliban militants on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near Balochistan’s Chagai district.

According to a Levies official in Nokkundi, these six men were abducted from Nushki and Taftan areas by Taliban and then killed in Afghanistan.

Captain Tariq Zehri further said these men were dacoits and had earlier been kidnapped by Taliban, but this assumption is yet to be ascertained.

According to sources in Nokkundi, Taliban have released a video showing the execution of the hostages – identified as Jameel, Sarwar, Shah Murad, Basit, Ghani, Kutab Khan – in Afghanistan.

One of the bodies was handed over to Levies officials in Taftan, but others still remain with Taliban.
