10 Sunni Tehreek activists confess to murder, extortion: Rangers

Ten activists of the Sunni Tehreek have confessed to murder, attempt to murder and forced collection of Fitra and hides.

A spokesman for the Rangers disclosed that the activists, including Jawwad, Zubair, Alam, Suleman and others, were arrested from Moeen Plaza on June 18 and taken into custody for 90 days.

He said that the activists had now been handed over to the police.

The Rangers spokesman said that Jawwad alias Waja was involved in 14 murders and used to commit crimes with Uzair Baloch Group.

He said that the accused Muhammad Alam alias Baba was in-charge of the target-killing team and involved in 13 incidents.

He disclosed that Suleman alias Mochi was involved in nine incidents of attempt to murder and extortion.

He said that Akram Qadri was involved in six incidents of attempt to murder and extortion.

The spokesman said that Shakeel alias Fauji was the sector in-charge of Orangi Town and involved in a killing and three incidents of attempt to murder.

He said that Rizwan alias Guddu was involved in one killing.
