The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh on Monday arrested a suspected agent of Indian intelligence agency Research Analysis Wing (RAW) during a raid in Karachi’s Nazimabad area, while local police arrested two suspected suicide bombers when they were trying to enter the Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) in Taxila.

CTD SSP Naveed Khawaja said that after responding to an intelligence report, an operation was conducted in Karachi’s Nazimabad locality from where they arrested Nadeem alias Uncle, a suspected target killer allegedly on RAW payroll. The suspect was previously linked with the Javed Langra Group and was serving in the Karachi Water Board (KWB). He allegedly got terrorism training in Faridpur, India, from RAW agents.

Meanwhile, two suspected terrorists were arrested while trying to enter HMC Taxila. A suicide vest was recovered from them.

Police said that security personnel deployed at the gate of HMC Taxila stopped two suspicious persons from entering the complex. The suspects attempted to escape when questioned but were soon caught. A suicide vest was seized from their possession during physical search.
