Ailing man robbed of valuables by relatives

An ailing man was allegedly deprived of gold and other valuables by his relatives who visited him to enquire after his health in the Waris Khan area.

Mohammad Shabir, a resident of Mohalla Amarpura in Waris Khan, lodged a complaint with the local police that his relatives, Shah Rafiq, Adil Shaukat, Raja Shaukat, Shoaib Raza, Ansar Bibi, Hina Gul and Hira, had visited his house to enquire about his health. Later, they rushed him to a hospital after his pain increased. According to the complainant, the three male relatives rushed him to the hospital while the rest stayed back and looted 25 carats of gold, prize bonds worth Rs 0.84 million and a cheque book from his house. Police have registered a case and started the investigation.
