The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to move the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the bar on party chief Imran Khan from running by-poll campaigns for the constituencies of NA-122 and NA-154.
The revelation about this decision surfaced during PTI Punjab chief organiser Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar’s press conference on Sunday.
Sarwar said the Punjab Police were harassing their candidates for local government elections, adding, “They (police) have been politicised and have failed to apprehend targets killers, extortionists and criminals.”
Sarwar made it clear that injustice and corruption would not be tolerated, saying his party believed in democracy and wanted to further strengthen it.
The PTI leader, on the occasion, demanded a ban on participation of the prime minister, governors and chief ministers in the electioneering.
