Police recover cricketer Hafeez’s defrauded Rs 22.5m

The local police on Saturday claimed it had recovered Rs 22.5 million from a property dealer who had defrauded the money from cricketer Muhammad Hafeez.

CCPO Lahore Amin Vains handed over Rs 5 million in cash and Rs 17.5 million in cheques to the cricketer at his office on Saturday.

SP CIA Umer Virk was also present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that the player appeared before the CIA SP on August 19, 2015 and complained about the fraud of Rs 22.5 million for an eight-marla plot by a property dealer, Kashif, and his companions in Defence.

Taking notice of the complaint, the SP directed DSP CIA Cantonment Raees Ahmad Khan to investigate the matter and provide justice to the national player.
