Police and Rangers claimed to have captured at least 27 suspects, including two workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), during raids and search operations in different areas of Karachi in Sunday’s dark hours.
According to reports, police have also detained Dr. Naeem, MQM’s Sector Incharge of Nawabshah city, during a raid. He is said to be involved in different incidents of target-killing.
The personnel of paratroopers conducted a raid in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and arrested a suspected person. A computer and two motorcycles were seized from him.
In a separate incident in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, police arrested two miscreants including an injured following an armed encounter.
At least 12 suspected people have been rounded up during a search operation in Jamshed Quarters.
Meantime as part of the ongoing crackdown, at least ten people were apprehended for running an illegal Maveshi Mandi in Delhi Colony.
