Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Friday visited different areas in the city to inspect the development projects and issued orders for their timely completion.
According to an official statement, the governor, who was accompanied by Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and other officials, reviewed the ongoing work on Malir-15 flyover and ordered that it be completed at the earliest and the hurdles be removed.
Ebad was assured by the local government minister that the work on this project would be completed by October 30. The governor also inspected the work on Lyari Expressway’s 2.2 kilometres portion.
Ebad said a special package had been prepared for Karachi wherein there was allocation in accordance with the projects.
To a media query, the governor said the paramilitary Rangers was doing a good job. He also observed that maintenance of law and order was a big problem and personnel of law enforcement agencies were ready to make any sacrifices.
He said the operation against terrorists was initiated on the demand of political parties and at the time the law and order situation in the country was very bad. “Now, we have no option other than to win this war,” he averred.
The governor also paid tribute to Pakistan Army, Rangers, police and law enforcement institutions.
Ebad said that for legislation and other matters in the drive against terrorism and militancy, all the political parties had been consulted.
