The Supreme Court’s (SC) Karachi registry on Friday ordered the Sindh government to issue tenders for the issuance of new number plates for vehicles.
Appearing before the court, officials of the Excise and Taxation Department and Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) Managing Director Abdul Raheem, submitted that the issuance of tenders was halted due to alleged embezzlement.
The court, however, ordered the officials to collaborate and issue tenders without delay.
