The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued contempt notice to the health secretary for his failure to regularise as many as 25 contractual employees.
Justice Faisal Zaman held the hearing of the case, in which the petitioners maintained that the court had, in March, issued instructions to make them permanent employees, but the order had not been complied with yet.
The affected people requested the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the authorities concerned. The court, after issuing a notice to the health secretary, adjourned the hearing for a week.
