Five killed, two injured in separate incidents

As many as five people were killed and two others injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Saturday.

A teenager, Sadiq, 14, son of Wahid, resident of Liaquatabad, died, and Yasir, 27, son of Asghar Imam, resident of Gulbahar Colony, injured when a truck collided with a Suzuki van on a bridge in Ayesha Manzil. The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy and treatment.

A man, aged about 30, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him in Saba Avenue in Defence Phase 8. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem. Identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.

Three-year-old child, Asad Aslam, son of Munawar, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit him in Chishti Nagar in Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

A man, Waseem, 40, son of Asif Husain, died when a train crushed him in Landhi Railway track. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy.

A 15-year-old girl, Nimra, was electrocuted at her home in Korangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem.

In another road mishap, a man, Rashid, 30, son of Abdul Majeed, was injured when a vehicle struck him in Waterpump, Federal B area. He was brought to ASH for treatment.
