Taji Khokhar’s home raided, security beefed up after PAF attack

Security was beefed up and the city was placed on high alert subsequent to the PAF attack, leading to a raid and arrests from Taji Khokhar’s residence. 

Security forces raided the home of Taji Khokhar in the airport area on Friday and arrested 20 suspects and seized arms and ammunition and narcotics from their possession.

According to a senior official, who wished to be named, the search operation was carried out by Rangers, police, the elite force and intelligence agencies in the wee hours. The suspects were shifted to the Koral Police Station for further investigation.

Taji Khokhar, who is the brother of former deputy speaker National Assembly Haji Nawaz Khokhar, is under arrest in a murder case and has been accused of occupying land after murdering the owners.

Personnel from Police, Rangers and sensitive agencies conducted a joint search operation in various areas of the federal capital including Khanna Pul, Iqbal Town, Zia Masjid and surrounding localities.

A stolen vehicle was also recovered from Ghouri Town during the operation.

According to details, the security of the city has been beefed up after the attack on Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in the Badaber area of Peshawar, which killed 16 worshippers in the Mosque and several members of the armed forces, including Captain Isfandyar.
