NAB has decided to launch an operation against illegal housing societies in the twin cities.
NAB Spokesman Nawazish Ali Asim said that NAB has contacted the CDA, the RDA, housing societies, advertising agencies and representatives of all stakeholders to devise a strategy against illegal housing societies. The NAB has directed the CDA and RDA to ensure that all housing societies under their respective jurisdictions work within the ambit of law and regulations.
NAB has also directed advertising agencies not to publish advertisements of illegal housing societies. CDA and RDA have also been instructed to place the names of illegal housing societies on their website.
NAB has already setup a committee to keep an eye on the illegal occupation of land and working of housing societies.
NAB has warned people against making investments in housing societies that do not have a no objection certificate (NOCs) from the regulatory authorities.
