Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf has said that the government should extend the tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
In an interview to a private TV channel on Thursday, he lauded the struggle of the army chief for the betterment of Pakistan, saying that if Gen Sharif was not given an extension then “all the struggle will go in vain”.
Musharraf said that his government passed through a crucial phase due to the challenges of 9/11. He said that he brought change during his time as the president of Pakistan, adding that billions were lost in Nandipur power project.
