Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued contempt of court notice to health secretary for not turning contract employees to permanent government staff.
Justice Faisal Zaman held hearing of the case when as many as 25 petitioners maintained that the court had ordered the authorities to make them permanent employees in March. They said that the department has not complied with the order.
The affected persons requested the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the authorities concerned. The LHC issued notice to health secretary and adjourned the hearing for a week.
