The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has earned profit of 2.8 billion rupees in the first quarter of this year and its revenue increased by six per cent as compared to last year.
A Spokesman of Civil Aviation Ministry told a press conference that the turnaround is visible because the PIA has increased its fleet size from twenty-two to thirty five planes.
He said that the national carrier has reduced its loss by thirty-seven per cent during the current financial year.
