Film actress Meera was granted bail on Thursday in the dual nikkah case filed by her former husband Atiqur Rehman.
The actress was not allowed to leave the court until submission of surety bonds worth Rs 50,000.
Rehman claims Meera entered into a second marriage with Captain Naveed in 2013, while still being married (to him).
The civil judge, Lahore Cantt, had issued several orders for Meera’s appearance before the court, but the actress failed to comply with them. Meera, whose real name is Irtiza Rubab, on the other hand, claimed she did not receive any notice.
When the actress finally made an appearance before the court on Thursday, the judge ordered that she should not be allowed to leave the premises until the submission of surety bonds.
