An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday sent three suspects on physical remand for allegedly facilitating the gruesome terrorist attack on a bus carrying Ismaili community members near Safoora Chowrangi in May this year that claimed 46 lives.
The suspects, Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS) vice-chairman Sultan Qamar Siddiqui alias Rumi, his brother Hussain Qamar alias Shibli and Sajid Naeem alias Peena, have been handed over to the Sachal Police Station on physical remand until September 30.
The suspects were charged with providing the attackers with logistics support to carry out the attack.
The five other suspects – Saad Aziz, Muhammad Azhar Ishrat, Haafiz Nasir, Tahir Hussain Minhas and Asadur Rehman – are already on judicial remand.
