All PML-N wants is Pakistan’s progress, says Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the progress and prosperity of the country is the mission of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government and sincere efforts have been made in this regard during last about two years.

He said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif PML-N is striving to resolve basic problems plaguing the people. He said that the economic situation has improved in the country due to the excellent economic policies of the government.

He was talking to office-bearers and workers of PML-N. The CM said that the government is sparing no effort for the welfare of the masses and it will continue to serve people selflessly. He said that a new culture of transparency and high standards has been introduced in development projects and billion of rupees have been saved through successful negotiations with the lowest bidders, which is unprecedented in the history of the country.

Referring to the agriculture package, Shehbaz Sharif said that a package of Rs 341 billion is the guarantee of prosperity for the farmers. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has won the hearts of the cultivators by announcing the biggest agriculture package in Pakistan’s history. He said that no government has so far announced such a historic relief package for the welfare of farmers. He said that the credit for the farmer-friendly package goes to the PML-N government.

He said that the agriculture relief package is the voice of cultivators and the interests of small farmers have been given top priority under this package. The CM said that agriculture is the backbone of national economy and PML-N government has always protected the rights and interests of farmers. He further said that the sit-ins last year caused a huge loss to the economy and tarnished the image of the country at diplomatic levels, while investment also suffered. He said that an attempt was made to undermine the interests of the country for the achievement of personal ends due to which precious time was wasted. He said that the negative impacts of the sit-ins on the country are still being felt. He said that the elements which wasted the precious time of the nation did not care about the country or the common man.
