Three dacoits were killed in two separate encounters in interior Sindh in the wee hours of Wednesday.
In Shikarpur district, two dacoits were trying to abduct three people when a police team appeared on the scene. The dacoits who were armed with guns opened fire on the police team but were killed when the attack was repulsed. Police officials identified one of the dacoits as Khanu Mir Bahr, a proclaimed offender, who carried a head money of Rs one million.
In another shootout in Kandhkot area one dacoit was killed while two others wounded.
